Password privacy

I'm having a discussion in the DSL Report SBC forum about why a CRS should never ask for a password. I (DaSneaky1D) think I've made my point obvious enough, that the perception of privacy is lost when people are asked to offer their password. Of course a few members are making objections, essentially saying it's nothing to worry about because it's just to get the customer up and going.

One would think that a company would be more cautious with their public image in this day and age and not make someone feel like their privacy is worthless.
