Ear candling rocks!

I had my ears candled last night. This is a process in which a special candle is used to melt and suction built up wax in the ear. The process takes about 30 to 50 minutes depending on how many candles per ear you use, suggested 2 (I used one per ear).

My goodness, I always thought of myself as a diligent ear cleaner. But that deep wax build up around the inner ear was impossible to get. After having mine done, my ears feel so "open." Kind of like having your ears pop after riding in a plane. Just super clear.

People with sinus problems may find this helpful as well. Of course, care should be taken and those with punctured ear drums are advised not to try this procedure.

2 ramblings so far

1. You know, as weird as this sounds, but ever since I saw this on the news about three years ago, i've wanted to get it done. who did it for you? your wife or a 'professional'?

ps. i now know i have you to blame for the hideous jessica and ashlee simpsons buffalo pizza commercials. heh.

2. I actually had my mother do it. It's not hard once you've seen it done. I wouldn't know what else a professional would do to justify paying them.

And you can blame me all you want! As long as you see them, my pizza is still being offered ;-)
